The purpose of this fund is to support local voluntary community groups to organise small once-off community substance use prevention activity. Applications must clearly set out how they can contribute to the prevention of substance use. Funding for on-going services or activities is not eligible. After complying with strict criteria an application form is completed and assessed by the Task Force Health Promotion Worker. Under the strict criteria funding is only available to recognised voluntary community groups/organisations located within the Task Force area. Applications are not accepted from individuals.

Drug Prevention Activity Grant Scheme
This fund provides small grants for substance use prevention activity and additions to existing activity in local schools and youth services. Activity funded must show how they can contribute to building the psycho-social resilience of the children and young people participating in the activities proposed. There is particular interest in applications aimed at children and young people growing up in homes affected by problem substance use. The grant can be used to pay individuals to deliver therapeutic interventions etc. Applications are only accepted from our local schools and youth services. There are two calls for applications each year January-June and September-December. Grants received must be spent within these periods.
