These are a selection of photos taken at the events that took place in Finglas and Cabra during Recovery Month, September 2021. It was generally felt by all involved to have enriched local understanding and appreciation of those in recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction. Over 35 events and activities were organised during the month including workshops on Family Support, Fellowships, Recovery Run, Film, Parenting LGBTQ+, Recovery Cafe, Self-Care Evening etc. The month was closed with the now traditional “Recovery Walk” where we walked to Poppintree Park, Ballymun and met up with our counter parts there.

The organisers were very pleased with the overall participation by local service users, community-developed drug services. The Local Drugs Task Force, Recovery Academy Ireland, Dublin City Council, An Garda Siochana and HSE Social Inclusion were also thanked for their support they provided.

Planning is now underway for Recovery Month 2022.
